Gurugram
Location: Gurgaon, India (hybrid)
Duration: 6 months (with potential for a pre-placement / full-time offer based on performance)
Type: Full-time internship
Stipend: ₹20,000 per month
Reports to: Growth Lead, Founder's Office / People Operations
About the Role
We are a fast-moving AI engineering and delivery company serving US enterprise clients. As our HR Intern, you will sit close to the founding team and own real, end-to-end people operations — from sourcing and coordinating interviews to onboarding recent hires and helping shape our early culture. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to learn how HR actually works inside a scaling startup, not just observe it.
Key Responsibilities
- Source candidates across LinkedIn, Naukri, job boards, and referral networks; maintain and update the candidate pipeline.
- Screen resumes against role requirements and conduct initial screening calls to assess fit and interest.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews across candidates, hiring managers, and the founding team; keep everyone informed and on time.
- Manage the applicant tracking process and keep recruitment trackers, dashboards, and records accurate and current.
- Draft and post job descriptions and job ads across relevant platforms.
- Support end-to-end onboarding of new joiners — documentation, IT/access coordination, and first-week experience.
- Assist with HR operations: employee records, leave/attendance tracking, and policy documentation.
- Help plan and execute employee engagement activities, team events, and internal communications.
- Support ad-hoc People & Founder's Office projects as the company scales.
Who We're Looking For:
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's / Master's degree, preferably in HR, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
- Available to work full-time, on a hybrid basis in Gurgaon, for the full 6-month duration.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple priorities without dropping the ball.
- Comfortable with Google Workspace / MS Office (Sheets, Docs, Slides) and quick to pick up new tools.
- Proactive, self-directed, and comfortable in an ambiguous, fast-changing startup environment.
- Discreet and trustworthy with confidential and sensitive information.
Bonus Points:
- Prior internship or project experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or HR operations.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn Recruiter, an ATS, or sourcing tools.
- Interest in the AI / technology industry and a curiosity about how technical teams are built.
What You'll Get:
- Direct exposure to the founding team and real ownership of live hiring and people processes.
- Mentorship and a structured learning path across the full HR lifecycle.
- A certificate of internship and a strong reference on successful completion.
- A genuine path to a full-time offer for high performers.
