Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled HMC Setter cum Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in CNC programming, machine setup, tooling, and operating Horizontal Machining Centers (HMC) to manufacture precision components as per engineering drawings and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs using G-Code & M-Code.
- Perform complete HMC machine setup, including fixture mounting, workpiece alignment, tool setting, and work offsets.
- Operate HMC machines to manufacture precision engineering components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and GD&T; specifications.
- Select suitable cutting tools, inserts, fixtures, and machining parameters.
- Conduct first-piece inspection before production and obtain quality approval.
- Perform in-process inspections using measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Bore Gauges, Height Gauges, and Dial Indicators.
- Monitor machining operations and make program or tooling corrections to ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Optimize cycle time and improve productivity while minimizing tool wear and machine downtime.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, fixture, and CNC program-related issues.
- Maintain CNC program backups, tooling records, setup sheets, and production reports.
- Coordinate with Quality, Production, Planning, and Maintenance departments to achieve daily production targets.
- Follow company safety standards, 5S practices,



and quality management systems.

Required Skills
- Robust knowledge of HMC machine setup and CNC programming.
- Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Mazatrol, or Heidenhain CNC controllers.
- Good understanding of tooling, fixtures, cutting parameters, and machining processes.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T.;
- Knowledge of precision measuring instruments.
- Basic knowledge of CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, NX CAM, PowerMill, or SolidCAM is an added advantage.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork.

Educational Qualification
- ITI (Machinist / Turner / Tool & Die Maker), Diploma, or B.E. in Mechanical EngineeringExperience
- 3–8 years of hands-on experience in HMC machine setting and programming.
- Experience in automotive, aerospace, heavy engineering, valve, pump, or precision component manufacturing is preferred..
