Role Description The Head of Operations at Chowgule Fiberglass will oversee end-to-end operational activities, including production planning, resource allocation, and process optimization to ensure safe, efficient, and timely delivery of products. This full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai involves leading cross-functional teams, monitoring performance metrics, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and support functions.

The position will manage budgets and cost controls, coordinate with procurement and supply chain for raw materials and logistics, and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.



The Head of Operations will collaborate closely with senior leadership to align operational strategies with business goals, support execution of defense and commercial projects, and drive operational excellence. Day-to-day responsibilities include problem-solving on the shop floor, stakeholder communication, risk management, and mentoring team members to build strong operational capabilities.

Qualifications

- Strong Operations Management experience, including production planning, process improvement, and performance monitoring.
- Excellent Analytical Skills for data-driven decision-making, problem-solving, and optimizing resource utilization.
- Proven Team Management capabilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams and fostering a culture of accountability.
- Effective Communication skills for coordinating with internal stakeholders, external partners, and senior leadership.
- Demonstrated Budgeting and cost management skills, including forecasting, expense control, and efficiency initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Industrial Management, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or defense-related environments, preferably within composites or fiberglass production.
- Knowledge of quality management systems, safety standards, and regulatory compliance relevant to industrial and defense sectors.
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, with a hands-on approach to operations and a focus on continuous improvement.
