Role Description The Head of Engineering is a full time remote role responsible for leading and scaling engineering delivery across multiple client engagements. This role oversees end-to-end software development, ensuring technical excellence, reliable execution, and alignment with product and business goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing engineering teams, setting technical direction, defining and refining development processes, and collaborating closely with product leadership and founders.

The Head of Engineering will monitor project progress,



mitigate risks, and ensure that architecture, security, and quality standards are met across all initiatives. The role also involves mentoring engineering leaders, improving tooling and workflows, and contributing to strategic decisions around build-vs-buy, platform choices, and long-term technology roadmap.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in Team Management and Team Leadership, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.

Strong Engineering Management background, with a track record of owning technical delivery and leading cross-functional engineering organizations.

Proficiency in Project Management, including planning, prioritization, stakeholder communication, and risk mitigation.

Hands-on experience in Software Development, with deep understanding of modern engineering practices, architecture, and cloud technologies.

Ability to work effectively in remote, distributed teams and across multiple time zones.

Experience in one or more of Healthcare & Life Sciences, Fintech, or B2B SaaS is highly beneficial.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate complex technical topics for non-technical stakeholders.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or equivalent experience is a plus.
