Exposure to high-value litigation cases Role & responsibilities
GST Compliance
- Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C)
- Ensure timely GST compliance as per statutory requirements
- Maintain GST records and supporting documents
- Reconcile GSTR-2B with purchase registers, and sales registers with GSTR-1/3B
- Check eligibility of Input Tax Credit (ITC)
- Review invoices for GST compliance
- Calculate CGST, SGST, IGST, and overall tax liability
- Assist with GST notices, departmental queries, assessments, and appeals
Income Tax
- Prepare and file Income Tax Returns (ITR) for individuals and businesses
- Compute income tax liability and advance tax
- Assist with tax audits and Form 3CB-CD filing
Ledger Scrutiny
- Review and scrutinize client ledgers for accuracy and completeness
- Identify and correct mismatches, wrong entries, or missing documentation
- Ensure ledgers are audit-ready
Auditing
- Support statutory and internal audits end-to-end
- Verify books of accounts against source documents
- Prepare audit working papers and reports
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
Preferred candidate profile
- Qualification: B.Com/M.com graduates, or Semi-Qualified CAs (CA Inter/Articleship completed)
- Experience: 2-4 years in a CA firm or accounting/tax consultancy, handling GST, income tax, and audit work
- Technical knowledge: Solid grasp of GST law, Income Tax Act provisions, and accounting standards
- Software skills: Hands-on experience with Tally, GST portal, Income Tax e-filing portal, and MS Excel
- Soft skills: Detail-oriented, good with deadlines, and comfortable handling client queries and notices independently
