Position Description

Lead the underwriting strategy and team operations for group health and personal accident insurance, ensuring profitability and portfolio growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Own the profitability and top-line growth of the Group Health and Group Personal Accident (PA) insurance portfolio.

- Lead the evaluation of group proposals by analyzing claims history, coverage terms, demographics, and market dynamics.

- Ensure timely and competitive quote generation, with a focus on identifying high-conversion, profitable accounts.

- Collaborate with external stakeholders (sales teams, brokers, channel partners, clients) and internal teams (Operations, IT) to support business acquisition and retention.

- Drive efficiency within the underwriting team by identifying automation opportunities and providing inputs for IT system enhancements.

- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and innovations in the group health insurance space.

- Recommend current product ideas and underwriting strategies to maintain a competitive edge.





- Manage and mentor a team of underwriters, ensuring high performance, skill development, and alignment with business goals.

- Foster strong working relationships across the value chain to support seamless execution and client satisfaction.
