The Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) Purchase will support the procurement team in sourcing raw materials, components, and services required for the manufacturing of agricultural and domestic pumps and electric motors. The trainee will learn procurement processes, supplier coordination, inventory planning, cost analysis, and vendor development while ensuring timely availability of quality materials.

Role & responsibilities

- Assist in procuring raw materials, castings, forgings, electrical components, fasteners, bearings, and other items used in pump and motor manufacturing.
- Prepare and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and follow up with suppliers.
- Coordinate with production, stores, quality, and planning departments to ensure timely material availability.
- Obtain quotations, compare prices, and prepare comparative statements for supplier evaluation.




- Monitor delivery schedules and follow up with vendors to ensure on-time supplies.
- Maintain accurate purchase records, supplier databases, and procurement documentation.
- Support vendor identification, qualification, and performance evaluation.
- Assist in cost reduction initiatives through alternate sourcing and value engineering.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards.
- Prepare procurement reports, MIS, and purchase-related documentation as required.

Preferred candidate profile

- Basic knowledge of procurement and supply chain concepts.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering drawings is preferred.
- Positive analytical and negotiation skills.
- Vendor management and inventory control
