Role Description The General Manager Quality Assurance will lead the Quality Assurance function and oversee all QA activities at the manufacturing site in Andhra Pradesh, India. This full time, on-site role includes establishing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems in alignment with national and international regulatory requirements and company policies. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising documentation and batch record review, managing deviations, change controls, CAPA, and conducting internal audits to ensure GMP compliance.
The role involves coordinating with manufacturing, QC, regulatory, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues, support product release decisions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
The General Manager Quality
Assurance will also provide leadership and mentoring to QA staff,
manage training programs on quality and compliance, and represent QA during regulatory and customer inspections.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in pharmaceutical Quality Assurance, including GMP, GLP, and regulatory compliance for manufacturing operations.
Experience in managing quality systems such as deviations, CAPA, change control, risk assessment, and batch record review.
Proven ability to lead audits and inspections, including internal, external, and regulatory audits, and manage associated follow-up actions.
Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, including team development, performance management, and cross-functional collaboration.
Ability to analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement process and system improvements to enhance product quality and compliance.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear reports, SOPs, and quality documentation.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline.
Significant experience (typically 10+ years) in pharmaceutical manufacturing and Quality Assurance, including experience in a senior management role.
Familiarity with Indian and international regulatory guidelines (e.g., CDSCO, WHO, USFDA, EMA) is highly beneficial.
Robust organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work on-site in Andhra Pradesh, India.
