Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled GL Accountant with 5 to 8 years of experience to manage the general ledger accounting functions, ensure accuracy in financial reporting, and support month-end and year-end close processes. The ideal candidate will have a robust grasp of accounting principles and excellent analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare financial statements and reports in accordance with accounting standards.
- Analyze and report on financial variances.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.
- Perform intercompany reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all GL transactions.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in general ledger accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Zoho, Tally ).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with data analysis.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
