Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Garment Merchandiser to manage the complete merchandising lifecycle from development to shipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating with buyers, suppliers, factories, and internal departments to ensure seamless execution of orders while maintaining quality, timelines, and commercial objectives.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end garment merchandising from enquiry to final shipment.
- Maintain professional communication with buyers, suppliers, factories, and internal teams through emails, meetings, and regular follow-ups.
- Coordinate sample development by issuing tech packs, requisitions, and ensuring timely receipt of development, fit, PP, and production samples.
- Review all samples for measurements, stitching quality, workmanship, construction, and compliance with buyer specifications before submission.
- Prepare and update the Time & Action Plan (TAP) every Friday, ensuring all pending activities and priorities for the following week are clearly defined.




- Prepare Purchase Orders for fabrics, trims, accessories, CMT, washing, embroidery, printing, packaging, and other job work.
- Follow up on fabric, trims, labels, packaging materials, and accessories to ensure timely in-housing and update the TAP accordingly.
- Coordinate approvals for fabrics, lab dips, trims, strike-offs, samples, and production submissions with customers, and communicate approvals promptly to factories.
- Work closely with production, planning, and quality teams to ensure production schedules are achieved.
- Conduct factory visits and inline inspections to monitor quality, workmanship, production progress, and adherence to approved standards.
- Coordinate shipment planning, provide shipping instructions, and ensure documentation and dispatches are completed on schedule.
- Support the Accounts team by following up for timely customer payments, supplier payments, reconciliation, and preparation of E-Way Bills where required.
- Ensure factory reconciliations (RECO) are completed accurately and on time, coordinating with Accounts for debit notes, recoveries, and commercial settlements.
- Negotiate costs with suppliers and factories while maintaining quality and delivery commitments.
- Resolve production, quality, and delivery issues proactively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.




- Maintain accurate documentation, reports, order trackers, costing sheets, and merchandising records.
- Conduct market and trend research to support product development, costing, and customer presentations.

Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years of experience in garment merchandising, apparel sourcing, or production merchandising.
- Strong understanding of woven and knitted garment manufacturing processes.
- Excellent knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, trims, printing, embroidery, washing, and finishing processes.
- Ability to interpret tech packs, measurement charts, and buyer specifications.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Highly organized with strong planning, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Gmail, Excel, Word, and merchandising trackers.
- Experience in managing multiple orders simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Degree or Diploma in Fashion, Textiles, Apparel Manufacturing, Merchandising, or a related field is preferred.

The ideal candidate should be commercially aware, highly organized, and capable of independently driving multiple orders while maintaining Fabrico's standards of quality, service, and customer satisfaction.
