Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Fundraiser at News Tap One. The Fundraiser will develop and implement fundraising strategies to support independent journalism, including identifying prospective donors, sponsors, and partners. Daily tasks include researching and segmenting potential funders, preparing compelling proposals and pitch materials, and conducting outreach via email, calls, and virtual meetings.

The role involves maintaining accurate records of donor interactions, tracking campaign performance, and preparing regular reports and updates for leadership.



The Fundraiser will collaborate closely with editorial and management teams to align funding initiatives with key investigative projects, special series, and regional desks such as NT Bangla.

Qualifications

- Fundraising and development skills, including donor prospecting, campaign planning, and stewardship.

- Solid communication skills, including persuasive writing, presentation skills, and relationship-building with diverse stakeholders.

- Organizational and analytical skills, such as data tracking, basic budgeting, and use of CRM or fundraising tools.

- Knowledge of media, journalism, or nonprofit sectors and interest in supporting independent, investigative reporting.

- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage deadlines, and coordinate with global team members.

- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, nonprofit management, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

- Prior experience in fundraising, sales, business development, or sponsorship acquisition is highly beneficial.

- Cultural sensitivity and the ability to engage supporters from diverse regions and backgrounds.
