The Role

You'll work on a large-scale integration platform for a leading player in the distribution and e-commerce industry, connecting customer-facing storefronts with warehouse and enterprise systems. This isn't a CRUD-and-dashboard role; you'll build the backend services, APIs, data models, and frontend experiences that power order management, inventory synchronization, product catalogs, and system interoperability within a scalable, multi-layered architecture. You'll work directly with the founding team in a high-ownership engineering environment.

What You'll Do

- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Build secure, scalable REST APIs and business logic for enterprise applications.
- Design efficient database schemas and optimize SQL queries for performance and reliability.
- Develop frontend features using contemporary JavaScript frameworks and integrate them seamlessly with backend services.
- Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code following engineering best practices.
- Troubleshoot production issues, improve application performance, and enhance system reliability.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making.
- Work with Git, Docker,



and CI/CD pipelines to support modern development and deployment workflows.

Must-Have

Backend Engineering

- 4+ years building backend or full stack applications using Node.js and TypeScript, including REST APIs, asynchronous programming, and third-party integrations.
- Strong understanding of backend architecture, software design principles, and scalable application development.

Frontend Engineering

- Production experience with a modern JavaScript framework such as React, Next.js, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Comfortable building component-based user interfaces, managing application state, and integrating frontend applications with backend APIs end to end.

Databases

- Strong experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL, including schema design, indexing, query optimization, and writing efficient SQL beyond ORM-generated queries.

Engineering Practices

- Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Experience working with Docker and containerized environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across the application stack.

Good to Have

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, microservices,



caching, messaging technologies (Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka), or event-driven architectures.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and application security practices, including authentication mechanisms such as JWT or OAuth.
