About the Organisation

Loch Corporate Services is a professional services firm delivering a broad range of solutions across administrative, technical, marketing, and specialized operational areas. Established with a focus on high quality and compliant service delivery, supports organisations seeking integrated support functions under a single trusted provider. The firm is committed to strict confidentiality standards, consistent quality controls and seamless collaboration with client teams across multiple sectors.

About the Role

We're looking for a Full Stack Developer who's comfortable moving between the front end and back end and genuinely enjoys building things end to end. You'll be working on real products used by real people, not just internal tools that sit in a drawer. If you like owning a feature from the first line of code to the day it ships (and beyond), this role is for you.

You'll be part of a small, fast-moving development team and will report directly to our Lead Developer. Expect a good mix of independent ownership and close collaboration — we're not big on micromanagement, but we do like people who communicate well and ask questions when something's unclear. What You'll Actually Be Doing

Building and maintaining web applications using React/Next.js on the front end and Node.js (or similar) on the back end

Designing and building REST APIs, and integrating with third-party services and internal systems

Working with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) — writing queries, structuring schemas, and thinking about performance as data grows

Contributing to internal tools and automation that make the team's day-to-day work easier and faster

Writing clean, readable code and leaving it better documented than you found it

Debugging issues across the stack — from a UI glitch to a slow query to a flaky API call

Participating in code reviews, sprint planning, and general team discussions (your opinion matters here)

Helping deploy and monitor applications, and picking up basic cloud/DevOps tasks as needed (CI/CD pipelines, containerization, etc.)

Working closely with design, product, and other cross-functional folks to turn ideas into working software What We're Looking For

1–3 years of hands-on experience building web applications (professional experience, internships with real shipped work also count)

Solid grasp of JavaScript/TypeScript, and comfortable with a modern front-end framework (React, Next.js, or similar)

Experience building or consuming REST APIs, and a working understanding of how the back end and front end talk to each other

Familiarity with relational databases — you don't need to be a DBA, but you should know your way around SQL

Comfortable with Git and everyday version control workflows

Some exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) or containerization (Docker) is a big plus,

but not a dealbreaker A genuine interest in writing maintainable code — not just code that works, but code someone else can pick up later

Good communication skills — you'll be working with a small team, and how you explain a blocker matters as much as how you fix it

Curiosity and a willingness to learn new tools when the job calls for it — our stack evolves, and so should you Nice to Have (Not Mandatory)

Experience with automation or workflow tools (Zapier, or similar integration platforms)

Exposure to AI-assisted development tools and an understanding of how to use them responsibly

Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows

Prior experience working in a small team or startup-like setting where you wear a few different hats Reporting Structure

This role reports directly to the Lead Developer, who'll be your go-to for technical guidance, code reviews, and day-to-day priorities.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience — we care more about what you can build than where you studied) Compensation & Benefits
