Founding Engineer Intern- Product Development

About the Role

We are looking for an exceptional student engineer who wants to build real products, solve difficult technical problems and take ownership beyond assigned tickets.

This is not a basic web-development internship. You will work directly with the founding team to build and improve production systems used by real customers.

You will contribute across frontend, backend, databases, cloud infrastructure and AI integrations. You will be expected to understand the product, make technical decisions and independently take features from requirement to deployment.

This opportunity is ideal for a strong student builder from an IIT, IIIT, NIT, BITS or another leading institution who has already built and deployed responsible technical projects.

What You Will Work On

- Build and deploy end-to-end product features using JavaScript, React.js and Node.js.
- Develop responsive and visually polished user interfaces.
- Build secure backend services, APIs and database integrations.
- Work with PostgreSQL and other SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Improve application performance through caching, code splitting and query optimisation.
- Take ownership of deployments, CI/CD workflows, monitoring and production stability.
- Build and optimise AI-powered product features.
- Debug production issues and identify permanent solutions rather than temporary fixes.
- Review existing systems and improve code quality,



scalability and maintainability.
- Work directly with the founder to convert product requirements into working software.

What We Are Looking For

- Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Solid working knowledge of React.js.
- Experience with Node.js, Express.js or similar backend frameworks.
- Experience building APIs and working with databases.
- Understanding of Git, GitHub and pull-request workflows.
- Ability to independently build and deploy an end-to-end application.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving ability.
- High ownership, reliability and speed of execution.
- Ability to work with incomplete requirements and ask the right questions.
- Evidence of products, open-source contributions, hackathon projects or technical systems you have personally built.

Formal work experience is not mandatory. Your ability to build will matter more than your resume.

Preferred Experience

- AWS, Vercel, Railway or similar deployment platforms.
- PostgreSQL, Supabase or managed databases.
- CI/CD pipelines and production monitoring.
- Shadcn, Tailwind CSS or modern UI component libraries.
- AI APIs, LLM integrations, RAG systems or token-cost optimisation.




- Previous experience building SaaS products or startup projects.
- Contributions to open-source repositories.
- Experience taking a product from idea to production.
