Opening with a leading Chemical company for their office in Gandhinagar

Role: Fixed Assets , Inventory and Costing

Experience: 3 to 5 Years

Role & responsibilities :

- Fixed Assets:
- Prepare journals for asset capitalization, retirements, disposals, and transfers.
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, ensuring it is always up-to-date.
- Run monthly depreciation and reconcile the Fixed Asset sub-ledger to the General Ledger.
- Track Capital Work-in-Progress (CWIP) projects and prepare monthly status reports.
- Inventory:
- Perform monthly reconciliation of the inventory sub-ledger to the General Ledger.
- Prepare inventory aging reports and highlight slow-moving or non-moving stock for provision calculation.
- Support local teams with the reconciliation of physical count results to system records.
- Account for goods-in-transit and perform related reconciliations.
- Costing:
- Gather and validate data required for regional cost runs (e.g., activity rates,



production volumes).
- Perform initial checks on production variance calculations and resolve basic COGS errors (e.g., COGI errors).

Prepare journals for cost allocations and settlements. Experience & Qualifications required:

- A Masters or Bachelors degree in accounting or commerce (Mcom/Bcom) with 3-5 years of experience in a core accounting function.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment covering fixed assets, inventory, or costing is preferred.
- Good understanding of accounting principles related to FA, Inventory, and Costing.
- Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA (FI & CO modules) is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a global shift setting.
