As we scale, we're building a strong finance operations backbone to ensure our operational data and financial books stay tightly aligned.
Role Overview :We're looking for a Finance Operations Manager who will act as the critical link between the Operations team and Finance — translating day-to-day operational numbers into reconciled, audit-ready financial data. This role owns the reconciliation of payouts to vendors/suppliers and travel e-wallet balances used to procure flights, hotels, and other travel services, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks between what Operations books and what Finance records.
Key Responsibilities 1. Operations–Finance Reconciliation - Coordinate closely with the Operations team to obtain package-wise and vendor-wise operational numbers (bookings, package costs, vendor confirmations) - Reconcile operational MIS against finance ledgers/books on a periodic (daily/weekly/monthly)basis.
- Investigate variances between Ops-reported figures and Finance-recorded figures; drive rootcause resolution with relevant stakeholders 2.
Payout
Reconciliation - Reconcile payouts to hotels, vendors, DMCs (destination management companies), and other suppliers against invoices and operational confirmations - Track payment cycles; flag duplicate, missed,
or delayed payments - Maintain a clean payout ledger mapped to each package/booking 3. Travel E-Wallet Reconciliation - Reconcile balances and transaction-level data across travel booking wallets/portals (e.g., MakeMyTrip, TBO, Travclan, EaseMyTrip business accounts) used for procuring flights, hotels, and ancillary services - Track cashback/rewards credited to these wallets and ensure correct accounting treatment (as trade discounts vs. income) - Monitor TDS deductions (Section 194R) by portals on cashback/incentives and reconcile against Form 26AS
- MIS & Reporting - Prepare periodic reconciliation reports and variance summaries for management review - Support month-end and quarter-end close with fully reconciled operational-finance data
5.
Process
Improvement - Identify gaps or inefficiencies in existing reconciliation workflows - Drive standardization, documentation (SOPs), and automation opportunities in coordination with Operations and Finance.
Qualifications -
MBA (Finance) or CA Inter (Chartered Accountancy – Intermediate)
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in finance operations, reconciliation, or accounts, preferably in travel, e-commerce, or fintech
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel/Google Sheets (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, large dataset reconciliation)
- Basic understanding of GST/TDS provisions relevant to travel/e-commerce transactions is a plus
High attention to detail and comfort working with high transaction volumes
- Strong cross-functional coordination and communication skills What We're Looking For: Someone who's comfortable being the bridge between two teams that speak slightly different numeric languages — patient enough to chase down a discrepancy to its source, and structured enough to build a repeatable process out of it.
