About Electric Miles
Electric Miles is a fast-scaling EV charging and energy flexibility SaaS platform. We partner with manufacturers, utilities, and charge point operators to manage 500,000+ energy assets and over 200 MWs of grid flexibility in the coming years.
We’re transitioning from startup to scale-up and are actively fundraising our bridge round (closing April 2026). This is a pivotal moment and we need a sharp, ambitious finance professional to help us get investor-ready and build robust financial operations.
Our team of 28 spans four continents. You’ll work directly and report to the Head of Product & Finance and have regular exposure to our CEO and investor discussions.
The Role
This is not a back-office bookkeeping job. You will be our sole finance and commercial analyst owning day-to-day finance operations while building models, supporting pricing strategy, and preparing for financial due diligence.
You’ll replace our outgoing contractor, taking full ownership of our books, reporting, and month-end close while also stepping into investor calls and commercial analysis. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, commercially curious, and confident in front of stakeholders.
If you’re early in your career, eager to learn, and want real responsibility in a pre-fundraise environment, this is your opportunity.
What You’ll Own? Finance Operations & Accounting (Day-to-Day)
Full ownership of Xero: bookkeeping, general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close
Manage accounts payable and receivable: supplier payments, invoice tracking, collections
Raise and track customer invoices, credit notes, and follow up on overdue payments
Prepare VAT returns and coordinate with external accountants for statutory filings
Maintain accurate accruals, prepayments, and journal entries
Deliver month-end close on time
? Management Reporting & Financial Control
Own and maintain monthly P&L;, cash flow, and balance sheet
Build budget vs actuals tracking and variance analysis
Monitor key SaaS metrics such as: recurring revenue, gross margin, burn rate, runway
Produce clear, investor-ready reports for leadership, board, and fundraising discussions
Ensure financial data is always accurate, up-to-date, and audit-ready
? Commercial Analysis & Pricing
Support pricing models and contract economics for sales and operations
Analyze customer profitability and unit economics across products
Build Excel-based financial models to support commercial decision-making
Work with the sales team on deal structures and margin analysis
Revisit and optimize current pricing strategy to align with scale-up growth
? Fundraising & Investor Support
Help prepare for financial due diligence ahead of our Series A round (Feb 2027)
Build and maintain financial models for equity raises and investor scenarios
Support data room preparation: clean financials, KPIs, and supporting documentation
Prepare investor-ready narratives and metrics (ARR, CAC, LTV, churn, etc.)
Attend investor calls and confidently communicate financial performance and projections
What You Bring✅ Must-Haves
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
1-5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or commercial analysis

Advanced Excel skills:

Attention to detail and numerical accuracy
Excellent written and verbal communication, you’ll present numbers to non-finance stakeholders and investors
