About- The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, commonly referred to as SMVD University or SMVDU, is a university on a 470-acre campus located near Katra, Jammu and Kashmir. Eligibility/Qualification– Professor (Civil Engineering)

- Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.
- First Class or equivalent at Bachelor’s or Master’s level.
- Minimum 10 years of teaching/research/industry experience.
- At least 3 years as Associate Professor or equivalent.
- Required research publications and Ph.D. supervision as per AICTE/University norms.

Associate Professor (Mechanical Engineering)
- Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.
- First Class at Bachelor’s or Master’s level.
- Minimum 8 years of teaching/research/industry experience.
- At least 6 research publications in indexed journals.

Assistant Professor

Engineering Disciplines

- B.E./B.Tech./B.S. and M.E./M.Tech./M.S. with First Class.
- Ph.D. desirable.
- Candidates with Ph.D. after Bachelor’s from Institutions of National Importance with GATE/GPAT/CEED are also eligible.

Business

- Bachelor’s degree plus MBA/PGDM/CA/ICWA/M.Com with First Class.
- Two years of qualified experience.
- Preference for Finance, Marketing, and Business Analytics.

Architecture

- B.Arch. with required professional experience.
- OR B.Arch.



+ Master’s in Architecture.
- Valid Council of Architecture (CoA) Registration.

Humanities & Sciences (Chemistry, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Sanskrit, Hindi, English, Dogri, Philosophy & Physics)

- Master’s degree with 55% marks.
- NET/SLET/SET or Ph.D. as per UGC Regulations.
- Foreign Ph.D. holders from Top-500 ranked universities are also eligible under UGC norms.
