Employment Type: Contractual (1 year) Full-Time Reporting To: Faculty In-charge SFS (School for Skills) is a leading Allied Health Professional (Hospital administrators and technicians) training institute dedicated to empowering youth and transforming the lives of many through employment in the human resource-starved healthcare sector in India. With ten (11) centers across 6 states (including IIT Guwahati, NIT Meghalaya, IIT Kharagpur and IIT Indore), its alumni students working in more than 90 hospitals in almost all major cities in India, and CSR-backed initiatives, SFS continues to bridge the gap between education and employment in the healthcare sector. Role Overview: We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Faculty to deliver high-quality classroom and practical training, mentor students, and ensure effective learning outcomes. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, solid subject knowledge, and the ability to create an engaging learning environment while supporting students academic and professional development. Key Responsibilities:1.
Teaching & Academic Delivery ● Deliver theory and practical sessions as per the approved curriculum and academic schedule. ● Prepare lesson plans, conduct assessments, and maintain attendance and academic records. ● Support students through mentoring, doubt-clearing sessions, and continuous performance evaluation.
- Classroom & Laboratory Management ● Ensure classrooms and practical labs are well-organized, safe, and conducive to learning. ● Maintain training equipment, teaching materials, and laboratory resources.
● Ensure compliance with academic standards and institutional guidelines during training sessions. 3.
Student
Engagement ● Build positive relationships with students and encourage active participation in learning. ● Identify students requiring additional academic support and provide timely guidance. ● Coordinate with the academic team, placement team, and industry partners for internships, assessments, and skill development activities. 4.
Academic
Development ● Continuously update teaching methodologies to improve student learning outcomes. ● Participate in curriculum enhancement, faculty development programs, and academic meetings. ● Leverage digital teaching tools and learning platforms to enhance classroom engagement.
Key Requirements: Education & Experience: ● Bachelor's degree/Diploma in the relevant healthcare discipline (GNM/B.Sc. Nursing/MLT/EMT or other relevant qualification as applicable). ● 2 years of Clinical experience ● Teaching experience is preferred Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Assamese, Hindi & English,).
- Strong teaching, presentation, and classroom management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and digital learning tools (PowerPoint, Excel, online teaching platforms, etc.).
- Ability to engage, mentor, and motivate students while fostering a positive learning environment.
- Strong organizational, lesson planning, and time management abilities.
- Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Commitment to continuous learning and maintaining high academic standards.
