Role Overview BEOM is looking for a proactive Fabric Sourcing Executive to identify and onboard new fabric vendors, source quality fabrics at competitive prices, and ensure timely availability for sampling and production. The role will also include merchandising and production coordination as part of regular BAU responsibilities.

Education Bachelor’s degree in Textile Technology, Fashion Design, Fashion Management, or a related field.

Experience ● 2–5 years of experience in fabric sourcing or textile procurement. ● Experience with garment manufacturers, export houses, or fashion brands preferred. ● Proven ability to identify, negotiate with, and onboard recent fabric vendors. Key Responsibilities

● Source fabrics based on design, quality, cost, and delivery requirements. ● Continuously identify and onboard mills, traders, and fabric suppliers. ● Negotiate prices, MOQs, payment terms, and lead times. ● Manage swatches, lab dips, strike-offs, sampling, and bulk approvals. ● Coordinate with design, merchandising, production, and quality teams. ● Maintain vendor, fabric, costing, and order tracking sheets.



● Follow up on fabric deliveries, shortages, rejections, and replacements. ● Support sampling, costing, order tracking, and production planning as part of BAU. ● Ensure fabric availability is aligned with production timelines. ● Resolve fabric-related quality and delivery issues with vendors.

Technical

Knowledge ● Understanding of cotton, modal, viscose, linen, blends, and knitted fabrics. ● Knowledge of fabric construction, GSM, dyeing, printing, and finishing. ● Basic understanding of shrinkage, colour fastness, and fabric testing parameters.

Skills and Preferred Qualities ● Strong vendor development, negotiation, and cost management skills. ● Good knowledge of Indian fabric markets and supplier networks. ● Proactive and aggressive sourcing mindset. ● Strong follow-up, coordination, and problem-solving skills. ● Basic Excel and documentation skills. ● Ability to work in a fast-paced fashion environment. ● Willingness to travel to fabric markets and vendor locations when required.
