About the Role

The Fabric Manager will lead end-to-end fabric sourcing, development, procurement, vendor management, certification compliance, and fabric planning for premium woven garment production. The role requires close coordination with fabric mills, dye houses, merchandising teams, and production departments to ensure timely availability of high-quality fabrics while optimizing cost and maintaining global compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop fabrics according to buyer specifications and seasonal collections.
- Source woven fabrics from reliable domestic and international suppliers.
- Coordinate with textile mills, dye houses, printers, and processing units.




- Negotiate fabric prices, delivery schedules, and commercial terms with vendors.
- Plan bulk fabric procurement based on production requirements.
- Monitor fabric inventory, allocation, and consumption.
- Ensure timely fabric availability for production planning.
- Manage fabric approvals including shade bands, lab dips, strike-offs, and bulk approvals.
- Handle certifications including GOTS, OCS, BCI, and other sustainability standards.
- Coordinate fabric testing through approved laboratories.
- Maintain supplier performance and develop new vendor partnerships.
- Work closely with merchandising, production, quality, and sourcing teams.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Ensure compliance with buyer quality standards and sustainability requirements.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Technology, or a related discipline preferred.
- Professional certifications in textiles or sustainable sourcing will be an added advantage.

Experience Required

- 10–15 years of experience in fabric sourcing, fabric development, or textile procurement.
- Prior experience with woven garment export houses is mandatory.
- Experience handling international buyers and premium garment brands preferred.
