Role Description The Estimation Engineer role at Arcedior is a full-time, in office position based in Ahmedabad.

The Estimation

Engineer will prepare detailed quantity take-offs and BOQs, analyze drawings and specifications, and develop accurate project cost estimates for interior and civil works. This role involves coordinating with design and project teams, evaluating vendor quotations, and supporting negotiations to ensure cost-effective solutions.

Engineer will conduct market research on materials, pricing, and trends,



maintain estimation records, and assist in budgeting and cost control throughout the project lifecycle. Daily responsibilities also include reviewing changes in scope, updating estimates accordingly, and contributing to timely and competitive bids.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in BOQ preparation and project estimation for interior projects.
- Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Candidates should possess effective negotiation skills for vendor management and cost optimization.
- Candidates should possess applied research skills for materials, market rates, and industry trends.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Prior experience in estimation for interior, fit-out, or construction projects is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation software; familiarity with CAD or similar tools is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English; additional regional language abilities are beneficial.
