RecMaf is hiring - Electronics Engineering Intern (for Abhiyantr Robotics)
RecMaf is partnering with Abhiyantr Robotics to find their next Electronics Engineering Intern. This is an on-site role in Bengaluru with a direct path to a founding engineering position.
About the company Abhiyantr Robotics, founded by IIT Delhi alumni, builds snake-like robots that travel inside pipes, boilers, and heat exchangers to inspect them from within - reaching places conventional methods can't - along with motorized assistive exoskeletons. It's an early-stage, hands-on team where interns contribute to real products alongside experienced engineers, with a strong emphasis on innovation, reliability, and safety.
Role overview The Electronics Engineering Intern will help design, build, test, and troubleshoot the electronics and firmware that make these robots move with precision. The core challenge is closed-loop motor control - getting the robot to reach a target position exactly, not 10 mm off. You'll work directly with senior engineers on live projects from day one.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and test closed-loop motor control (FOC, BLDC, PID) for accurate positioning
- Write and debug embedded firmware on STM32 / ESP32 microcontrollers
- Work with encoders, sensors, and motor drivers for real-time motion control
- Support schematic design, component selection, and basic PCB work
- Bring up, test, and troubleshoot electronic circuits and systems on the bench
- Document designs, test procedures, and results
Requirements
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Electronics / Electrical / ECE or related
- Hands-on experience with Embedded C/C++ and microcontrollers (STM32 / ESP32 / Arduino)
- Understanding of motor control (FOC / BLDC / PID) and/or closed-loop control concepts
- Familiarity with communication protocols: UART, SPI, I2C, CAN
- Comfortable with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and hardware debugging
- Project or internship experience in motor control, robotics, or embedded systems is a strong plus
What's on offer
- Stipend of Rs. 50,000-70,000 per month
- 3-month on-site internship in Bengaluru, immediate start
- Real ownership of hard problems on robots that ship
- A clear path to Founding Electronics Engineer for the right person
- Mentorship from experienced engineers in a collaborative, fast-moving team
- How to apply Apply directly through LinkedIn, or send your CV to
