We are seeking a skilled Earthing Technician with deep expertise in chemical grounding systems and industrial electrical safety. In this role, you will protect sensitive electronic components such as PLC control panels, optical sorters, sensors, and packing linesfrom static charges, voltage surges, and electrical faults.

Key Responsibilities

- Machinery Protection: Design and install specialized chemical earthing pits for automated sorting, grading, and packing machinery.

- Chemical Installation: Install copper-bonded/GI electrodes using advanced moisture-retaining, low-resistivity chemical backfill compounds.

- Static Elimination: Ensure proper grounding and equipotential bonding to eliminate static electricity built up by high-speed packing belts and conveyor systems.

- Technical Testing: Measure soil resistivity and test final earth pit resistance using digital Earth Testers, aiming for critical values below 1 Ohm.

- Electrical Integration: Securely terminate earthing strips from the machinery chassis, VFDs,



and PLC panels directly to the earth pits.

- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and rectify high-resistance faults in existing plant earthing networks to prevent sensor malfunctioning or equipment downtime.

- Required Skills & Qualifications

- Chemical Expertise: Hands-on knowledge of chemical backfill compounds (bentonite, graphite bases) and maintenance-free earthing systems.

- Sensory Awareness: Understanding how proper grounding isolates delicate electronics (optical cameras, load cells) from electrical noise and harmonics.

- Standards: Solid understanding of Indian Standards (IS 3043) and industrial electrical safety codes.

- Education: ITI (Electrician trade) or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

Industrial Experience: 2+ years of experience in plant electrification, industrial earthing, or heavy machinery installation.
