Background : The Little Trees Nurtury preschool has been operating successfully for over a year. It aims to nurture resilience, self-confidence, creativity and a love of learning in a child’s formative year so that there is little need to escape into harmful substances and behaviours in later years.
Role : We are looking for volunteers with experience in teaching or working with pre-school children to enhance the educational and support services already provided by the preschool.
- Work with the principal and teachers to support children’s social, emotional, physical, creative and cognitive development
- Assist teachers to understand and respond to developmental delays in students
- Enhance parents’ knowledge and skills to raise children in healthy ways
- Develop training programs for teachers encouraging play-based, activity-based, theme-based, exploratory-based and problem-based learning approaches through drama, music, dance, painting, language, maths and science
