We’re Hiring | Plant Director – Defence Grade Nitrocellulose Manufacturing Vajrashakti Defence is building India’s first private Defence Grade Nitrocellulose (NC) manufacturing facility, and we are looking for two senior manufacturing leaders to join us in this mission-critical journey.

Position: Plant Director / Head – Nitrocellulose Manufacturing

We are seeking experienced professionals who have successfully managed the end-to-end operations of a Nitrocellulose or other highly hazardous chemical manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead complete plant operations from commissioning to commercial production.




- Ensure protected handling and manufacturing of hazardous and energetic chemicals.
- Drive production planning, process optimization, quality, EHS, and statutory compliance.
- Build and lead high-performance operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.
- Establish world-class operational excellence, reliability, and safety systems.
- Work closely with project, technology, and leadership teams during plant setup and scale-up.

Preferred Background:

- Experience in Nitrocellulose, propellants, explosives, defence chemicals, or other hazardous chemical manufacturing.
- Former or current leaders from organizations such as Munitions India Limited (MIL), Ordnance Factories, defence PSUs, or reputed hazardous chemical manufacturing companies are highly encouraged to apply.
- Proven experience in leading large-scale manufacturing operations and managing hazardous processes.

Location: Pune

Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience. Leadership compensation will be discussed with shortlisted candidates.
