Role Purpose The Digital Transformation Manager Sales, Delivery & Engineering is a unified, senior-level role responsible for driving end-to-end digital transformation across Kimbal's sales and engineering functions. The role acts as a strategic bridge between business stakeholders, IT, and technology vendors enabling process excellence, technology adoption, and data-driven decision-making across Sales, Post-Sales Delivery, R&D;, Current Product Development (NPD), and Manufacturing Engineering
Key Responsibilities
1. Digital Transformation & Strategy
- Lead digital initiatives across Sales, Delivery, and Engineering functions
- Define and align the digital roadmap with business goals, customer experience objectives, and engineering priorities
- Identify automation, analytics, and process improvement opportunities across functions
- Implement BR automation, green data sources, CBO dashboard, and customer cockpit
2. Sales Transformation
- Strengthen sales processes across line of businesses
- Enable CRM adoption, sales analytics, and pipeline visibility
- Apply consulting experience to redesign customer-facing processes with industry best practices from Manufacturing, FMCG/FMEG, Healthcare, and Consumer Services
3. Post-Sales Service & Delivery Transformation
- Strengthen post-sales service processes including installation, service requests, maintenance, and support using technology
- Design and implement efficient service delivery models to reduce turnaround time (TAT)
- Drive service lifecycle management ticketing, escalation handling, and closure effectiveness
- Improve first-time resolution rates and field service efficiency
- Enable digital tools for service management (CRM/service modules,
mobility solutions for field technicians)
- Enhance customer experience across post-sales touchpoints project tracking, complaint handling, and service quality
4. Engineering Partnership & PLM
- Collaborate with R&D;, NPD, Software Development, and Manufacturing Engineering teams to understand process requirements
- Lead/support PLM implementation BOM, ECM, Document Management, Workflow, and Version Control
- Standardize Engineering Change Management and product lifecycle processes
- Ensure structured data governance across the engineering lifecycle
- Automate approvals, release cycles, and documentation workflows to reduce manual dependency
5. SAP & System Integration
- Drive integration between PLM and SAP (EBOMMBOM sync, Material Master, Change Numbers, Costing impact)
- Coordinate with SAP MM/PP teams for seamless data flow
- Support integration with MES, WMS, and other enterprise systems
- Act as SPOC from DBx team for ERP/CRM system implementation and integration
6. Technology & Analytics Enablement
- Drive adoption of digital tools CRM, ERP, PLM, and analytics platforms (Power BI / SAP Analytics)
- Digitalize KPIs across functions: Time-to-Market, Change Lead Time, BOM Accuracy, R&D; Productivity, Sales Pipeline, Service TAT
- Enable real-time dashboards and support leadership with data-driven insights.
7. Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Work closely with business leaders across Sales, Delivery, and Engineering
- Act as primary IT interface with PLM, CRM, and other system vendors
- Lead technical evaluations, commercial negotiations, and contract management
- Manage SLAs, milestones, and performance tracking for external vendors
- Manage external consultants where required
