Summary The Ground Instructor is responsible for delivering DGCA-approved ground training, conducting Cadet and Airline Preparation classes, mentoring students, and counselling prospective candidates on aviation career pathways.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct DGCA Ground Classes for Air Navigation, Meteorology, Air Regulations, Technical General, and Technical Specific.
- Deliver Cadet and Airline Preparation training.
- Prepare lesson plans, study materials, and mock examinations.
- Assess student performance and provide academic guidance.
- Mentor students and monitor their progress.
- Counsel prospective students during institute visits, seminars, webinars, and virtual sessions.
- Support the admissions team by addressing technical and career-related queries.
- Stay updated with DGCA regulations and airline recruitment requirements.
- Assist in curriculum development and maintain academic records.
- Represent the institute at promotional and aviation-related events.
- Perform other academic duties assigned by the management.
Qualifications
Educational & Professional
- Valid DGCA Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL).
- Frozen ATPL or Airbus/Boeing Type Rating preferred.
- Ground instruction experience is an advantage.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of DGCA subjects and regulations.
- Excellent teaching, communication, and counselling skills.
- Ability to simplify technical concepts and mentor students.
- Valuable organisational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Experience
- Experience as a Ground Instructor, Flight Instructor, or Aviation Trainer is preferred.
