Role Description The DFT Engineer will be responsible for implementing and validating Design-for-Test (DFT) architectures and methodologies for complex semiconductor designs. Day-to-day activities include developing test plans, inserting scan, BIST, and other DFT structures, generating and optimizing test patterns, and collaborating with RTL, verification, and physical design teams to ensure testability and coverage goals are met. The role also involves analyzing test results, debugging failures, improving fault coverage, and contributing to test strategy for full-chip and SoC designs.
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Bengaluru South,
requiring close coordination with cross-functional engineering teams and adherence to project schedules and quality standards.

Strong foundation in DFT concepts, including scan insertion, ATPG, BIST, boundary scan, and test compression for complex digital and mixed-signal designs.
Hands-on experience in test engineering, including developing and maintaining test infrastructure and scripts for semiconductor devices.
Practical experience in test execution and handling test cases, including test planning, pattern generation, and analysis of test logs and coverage reports.
Solid understanding of testing and functional testing, with the ability to diagnose defects, perform root-cause analysis, and improve test quality and efficiency.
Proficiency with industry-standard DFT and EDA tools (e.g., Tessent, Synopsys, Cadence or equivalent) and familiarity with RTL design and verification flows.
Valuable knowledge of digital design fundamentals, SoC architectures, and semiconductor manufacturing test flows (wafer sort, final test).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, VLSI, or a related field, with prior DFT or test engineering experience preferred.
