Overview
We're looking for a DevOps Engineer to own the infrastructure that runs Liquify's lending platform end-to-end-provisioning, deployment pipelines, security posture, and production reliability - for a system operating under a regulated BFL (Bajaj Finserv) lending partnership.
This role owns infrastructure, not application code. You'll be responsible for how our Spring Boot microservices get deployed, scaled, and kept observable and secure - not for writing the services themselves.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end infrastructure for the Liquify platform: provisioning, networking, scaling, monitoring, and incident response
- Design, write, and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform - modular, environment-scoped, and reviewable
- Deploy and operate containerized Spring Boot microservices in production (build, release, rollback, autoscaling) - this is a deployment and operations responsibility, not application development
- Configure and manage AWS networking and edge components: ALB, WAF, VPC, security groups, and related services
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions as the primary pipeline tool
- Implement and maintain audit logging and log retention across services, in line with BFL/RBI compliance obligations (incident notification windows, access review trails)
- Manage secrets and access boundaries using AWS Secrets Manager and IAM, enforcing least-privilege across environments
- Monitor production health using CloudWatch and Sentry; drive root-cause analysis on incidents,
not just alerting
- Support 90-day access reviews and other recurring compliance/audit obligations tied to the BFL LSP agreement
- Continuously harden the environment: patching, certificate renewal, vulnerability remediation
Required Skills
- 3-5 years of hands-on DevOps/SRE/Infrastructure experience, ideally in a product company (not purely agency/consulting)
- Robust working knowledge of AWS (ap-south-1 or equivalent region experience) - EKS, ECS/Fargate, ALB, WAF, VPC, IAM, Secrets Manager
- Practical Kubernetes experience (deployments, services, ingress) - platform currently runs on EKS, so this is evaluated as depth of understanding, not a requirement to have run K8s in production
- Solid Terraform experience - real modules you've written and maintained, not just terraform apply on someone else's code
- CI/CD pipeline experience with GitHub Actions; Jenkins familiarity is a plus if you've maintained a legacy pipeline, not a requirement
- Understanding of audit logging, log retention, and compliance-driven infra requirements (RBI digital lending/ fintech context is a strong plus)
- Comfortable being the escalation point for production incidents, including outside business hours when needed
Good To Have
- Exposure to GCP (this stack also runs a Firebase-based product) - not required, but candidates who've worked across more than one cloud will ramp faster
- Experience with Kafka/MSK or other event-streaming infrastructure
- Prior experience in a regulated environment (fintech, healthtech, or similar) with real audit/compliance exposure
- Scripting ability (Python/Bash) for automation beyond IaC
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
What We,re Looking for:
- An engineer who can own infrastructure decisions independently, not just execute tickets
- Someone who treats compliance and audit requirements as part of the job, not a separate team's problem
