About Rebuild Works
Rebuild Works is an Agentic Consulting™ firm built for the AI era, operating at the intersection of strategy, execution, and governance. We help engineering organizations move from isolated AI copilots to production-grade, governed agentic systems.
Instead of traditional consulting pyramids, we deploy senior, cross-skilled engineers who design, build, and operate resilient infrastructure and agentic systems across the engineering value chain. Every engagement is evaluation-first - benchmarks, regression testing, monitoring, and cost discipline embedded from day one.
We deliver measurable engineering ROI within 90 days through four core offerings: Agentic Engineering Optimization, Model Evaluation & AI Governance, Domain-Specific Agent Systems, and Fractional Agentic Leadership - helping engineering leaders deploy secure, auditable, and responsible AI systems that scale with confidence.
Role Overview The DevOps & Infrastructure Engineer will design, build, and operate resilient, secure, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure that underpins Rebuild Works' engineering and agentic delivery. This role owns the automation, observability, and governance backbone that allows AI-native systems, including agent-orchestrated workflows, to run reliably in production.
Key Responsibilities
Multi-Cloud Architecture
• Design and operate resilient systems across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Architect for high availability, disaster recovery, and cross-region failover.
Infrastructure Automation
• Build repeatable, version-controlled environments using Terraform, OpenTofu, or Ansible.
• Define infrastructure standards and reusable modules to accelerate provisioning.
Container Orchestration
• Manage Docker and Kubernetes clusters (EKS, AKS, GKE) with Helm.
• Own cluster scaling, upgrades, and workload scheduling policies.
CI/CD & GitOps
• Create and maintain pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Implement GitOps practices for consistent, auditable deployments.
Observability
• Maintain monitoring stacks with Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
• Set up alerting, dashboards, and SLOs to detect and resolve issues proactively.
Cost & Security
• Drive FinOps cost optimization across cloud environments.
• Enforce IAM cloud governance, access controls, and audit trails.
Qualification
Mandatory
• 5 to 8 years in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering.
• Hands-on production experience in at least two cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or Bash.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related technical field.
Governance & Mindset
• Strong understanding of security, compliance, and responsible infrastructure principles.
• Experience implementing safeguards such as access controls, logging, and rollback mechanisms.
Soft Skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• High ownership mindset with attention to quality and reliability.
What Success Looks Like
- Reliable, secure, and cost-efficient infrastructure in production.
- Automated, repeatable environments with minimal manual intervention.
- Robust observability and fast incident response across all managed systems.
- Scalable governance frameworks for enterprise-grade cloud operations.
