Overview The Software Engineer II is a fully contributing engineer who independently delivers well-scoped features and resolves defects across the RealPage Insurance platform. This role is expected to use AI coding agents as a primary implementation tool while retaining full ownership and accountability for code quality, correctness, and security.

Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and maintain features using C#, .NET, Angular, and SQL Server.

- Independently deliver user stories and bug fixes, breaking work into steps that can be effectively delegated to coding agents.

- Direct AI coding agents (e.g., Claude Code) to implement features, generate tests, and refactor code, supplying sufficient context – requirements, existing code, and constraints – to get reliable results.

- Critically review and validate all AI-generated output for correctness, security, performance, and adherence to team standards before merging; catch incorrect assumptions,



hallucinated APIs, or missed edge cases.

- Participate in and contribute to code reviews, including reviews of agent-assisted changes.

- Diagnose and resolve application and production issues.

- Contribute to unit and integration testing.

- Exercise judgment on which tasks are appropriate to delegate to an AI agent versus complete manually.

Qualifications

- 3–5 years of professional software development experience.

- Hands-on experience with .NET, REST APIs, and SQL Server.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.

- Demonstrated ability to use AI coding agents productively and independently, including prompt construction, iterative refinement, and rigorous review of generated code.

- Solid problem-solving and communication skills .
