SECTION 2 JOB PURPOSE

Piping Designer II will prepare and deliver quality piping engineering of various piping systems involving material conveying piping, compressed air & service piping, wastewater piping and waste to energy boiler piping designs in accordance with company guidelines, applicable codes and standards, and project requirements while meeting project schedule, quality objectives, and budget targets. The role includes preparation, coordination, review, and execution of piping layouts, isometrics, support arrangements, and related engineering deliverables for Ash handling, WTE boiler parts and WWT systems.

SECTION 3 PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepares design in accordance with scope, quality and budget requirements for all assigned work for contracts and proposals.

- Monitors and controls all assigned design work for contracts, proposals and the department in accordance with schedule requirements ensuring any variance and scope changes are acted upon and documented in accordance with cost management process.
- Incorporates the use of applicable design standards, software and applicable design codes in the preparation of all design assignments for contracts and proposals.
- Organizes, directs and coordinates all design assignment activities for contract and proposal work in accordance with Corporate Policies, Guidelines and Procedures Manual and Department requirements.
- Maintains effective communication and working relationships within the department and between departments thus promoting a cooperative team atmosphere.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. • Ability to conceptualize, analyse and produce designs for piping engineering work orders with minimal amount of supervision.



• Ability to effectively execute multiple concurrent assignments with minimal amount of supervision.
- Deliverables 100% on time in aggregate with less than 5 calendar days variance in schedule due dates.
- Drawing reviews conducted in a timely fashion to support project schedule. Checklists prepared and filed accordingly.
- Demonstrates effective communication skills

. • Identifies system and/or process improvements and makes recommendations to Supervisor/Department Manager.
- Participates in project and department meetings
- Project documentation prepared in a timely fashion and filed appropriately. Project files are maintained in accordance with standard policies and procedures

. • Must be a team player, able to work with multiple disciplines (mechanical, piping, pipesupport & boiler parts engineers) Authority:
- Prepare Piping 3D Model, 2D Drawings, Isometric Drawings & BOM as per work order scope
- Review the drawings prepared as per check list and modify as per comments received.
