Role & responsibilities
- Research denim trends, forecasts, and conduct market visits to develop recent concepts.
- Create seasonal mood boards, concept boards, and storyboards reflecting design direction.
- Develop denim fabric and garment presentations with washed samples and storytelling for buyers.
- Collaborate with sampling, pattern, washing, and merchandising teams for development and execution.
- Support marketing and product development teams with design inputs.
- Manage multiple styles and ensure timely handover of tech packs and artwork.
- Maintain awareness of international denim markets (USA / UK / EU) and adapt designs accordingly.
Preferred candidate profile
- Education: Graduate from NIFT/NID or equivalent design institute.
- Experience: 12 + years in denim design with an export house, garment manufacturer, or brand.
