The Chance: Manager Cloud Native Developer (AWS)
As enterprises accelerate adoption of cloud, AI, and platform-based architectures, EY GDS is seeking a Manager – Cloud Native Developer who brings deep technical breadth and architectural maturity across cloud-native ecosystems.
In this role, you will act as a technology leader and solution driver, responsible for shaping cloud architectures, guiding engineering teams, and enabling secure, scalable, AI-enabled platforms for global clients. You will work closely with architects, product owners, security teams,
and leadership to deliver high-impact cloud transformation initiatives. Roles and Responsibilities
Technology & Architecture Leadership Design and implementation of cloud-native architectures on AWS, aligned to Well-Architected Framework principles
Define reference architectures for microservices, serverless, and container-based platforms
Drive architectural decisions across scalability, resilience, performance, security, and cost optimization
Review and govern solution designs, ensuring consistency with enterprise and cloud security standards
Experience in working with development best practices and approaches such as TDD, BDD and AI collaborative development.
Develop/maintain full stack applications using Node.js and Java (spring boot), Build and deploy scalable solutions on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, EC2), Design APIs, Integrate systems, and support event-driven architectures (KAFKA, MQ).
Create technical designs for user stories and support Agile delivery, Collaborate with teams on CI/CD testing, and cloud deployments, leverage AI tools to improve development efficiency and productivity Cloud-Native Engineering Development Hands on experience in building microservices and APIs using Java.
Design and develop solution based on serverless, event-driven systems, and asynchronous processing.
Hands on knowledge of EKS, containerization, and orchestration strategies.
Establish best practices for observability, logging, tracing, and reliability engineering. AI & GenAI Proficiency Adoption of AI-enabled and GenAI-based application patterns within cloud-native solutions
