The Opportunity: Senior Cloud Native Developer (AWS)

In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, cloud-native architectures are at the core of scalable, resilient, and secure enterprise platforms.



EY GDS is looking for a Senior Cloud Native Developer who will play a critical role in designing, building, and modernizing cloud-first solutions for global clients.

As part of our global delivery teams, you will work on complex transformation programs, contribute to next-generation digital platforms, and apply modern engineering practices across distributed systems, DevOps, and AI-enabled services.

Your Key Responsibilities

Build scalable, resilient, and secure microservices using: Node.js/Typescript.

Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications on AWS, leveraging managed services and event-driven architectures

Translate business and technical requirements into well-architected cloud solutions following AWS best practices

Develop RESTful APIs and backend services with strong focus on performance, observability, and fault tolerance

Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release strategies to enable continuous delivery

Collaborate closely with architects, DevOps engineers, and product teams across global engagements

Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and cost-optimization principles in cloud implementations

Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and mentoring of junior developers

Contribute to modernization initiatives including monolith-to-microservices, cloud migration, and re-platforming

Develop/maintain full stack applications using Node.js and Java (spring boot), Build and deploy scalable solutions on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, EC2), Design APIs, Integrate systems, and support event-driven architectures (KAFKA, MQ).

Create technical designs for user stories and support Agile delivery, Collaborate with teams on CI/CD testing, and cloud deployments, leverage AI tools to improve development efficiency and productivity Technical Skills – Primary Proficiency in backend programming languages: Node.js/Typescript
