About the Company A Fortune 200 company is building its Global Capability Centre (GCC) in India and has partnered with Flexiple to hire a Database Administrator for its enterprise data platforms. You will keep production databases available, secure, and performant as the centre scales from a founding team into a full-fledged GCC. Flexiple is a managed marketplace that helps global companies build high-performing teams and GCCs in India.

Role Overview

As a Database Administrator, you will own the health of production and non-production databases — from provisioning and performance tuning to backups, security, and disaster recovery — for systems the wider GCC depends on.

Key Responsibilities

Database Administration & Performance

- Install, configure, and maintain relational and NoSQL databases across environments
- Monitor performance, tune queries and indexes, and resolve bottlenecks proactively
- Manage capacity planning, storage, and scaling as data volumes grow

Backup, Recovery & Security

- Design and test backup, replication, and disaster-recovery procedures




- Enforce access controls, encryption, and data-security standards
- Maintain patching cadence and vulnerability remediation for database systems

Ideal Candidate Profile

- 3 to 8 years as a Database Administrator or in database engineering roles
- Hands-on expertise with SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL in production environments
- Strong troubleshooting skills across performance, availability, and security incidents
- Explicit written and spoken English and a reliable remote-work setup

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting a GCC, shared-services centre, or large enterprise IT function
- Familiarity with cloud-managed database services (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, or GCP Cloud SQL)
- A degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field
