About the Company At CARS24, we are building a data-driven automotive marketplace where every customer, vehicle, pricing and operational decision can be made smarter through data.

About the Role We are looking for a Builder who can turn complex business problems into meaningful product and commercial outcomes.

This is a Product Data Science role: approximately 70% of the work will involve analysing customer and business behaviour, designing experiments and improving decisions; the remaining 30% will involve applying AI/ML to build scalable solutions.

Responsibilities Solve high-impact problems across lead conversion, vehicle discovery and recommendations, pricing, demand and supply, inventory movement, financing, customer retention, fraud and operational efficiency.

Partner with Product, Business and Engineering teams to define the right problem, identify success metrics and translate insights into action.

Use SQL and Python to analyse funnels, cohorts, customer behaviour and business performance.

Design, run and interpret experiments to measure the impact of product and business interventions.

Build predictive and optimisation models where they add value—for example, lead scoring, demand forecasting, pricing, recommendations, segmentation and risk prediction.

Take solutions from analysis and prototyping to implementation, monitoring and measurable business impact.

Apply AI/GenAI thoughtfully to improve workflows,



decision-making and customer experience.

Qualifications B.Tech from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 institute.

Required Skills 2–6 years of experience in Data Science, Product Analytics, Decision Science or a closely related role.

Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with a solid grounding in statistics, experimentation and business metrics.

Experience solving product or business problems through forecasting, pricing, recommendations, customer segmentation, growth analytics, optimisation or risk/fraud models.

Ability to work with ambiguity, form hypotheses, use data to validate them and communicate recommendations clearly.

Experience in consumer internet, e-commerce, quick commerce, mobility, logistics, marketplaces, fintech or similar high-scale product environments is preferred.

Hands-on knowledge of machine learning and the ability to assess when a model is the right solution - not simply build one.

Preferred Skills You have improved a business metric such as conversion, revenue, margin, retention, availability, customer experience or operational cost.

You have owned the full problem-solving journey: from understanding the business challenge to measuring the real-world impact.

You can balance analytical rigor with speed and practical product judgement.
