Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler with expertise in Azure Databricks and modern cloud data platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in designing implementation-ready conceptual, logical, and physical data models within Azure Databricks (Delta Lake) using the Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold). The candidate will work closely with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and Data Engineers to translate business requirements into scalable, high-performance data models that are development-ready with clearly defined schemas, relationships, SQL definitions, and transformation logic.

Key Responsibilities Design and develop Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Data Models for enterprise data platforms.

Build implementation-ready data models in Azure Databricks (Delta Lake) following Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold).

Silver Layer

Gold Layer

Define

Entities

Attributes

Relationships

Primary & Foreign Keys

Constraints

Data Types

Create implementation-ready DDL SQL scripts for Data Engineering teams.

Define transformation logic between Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers.





Apply Delta Lake best practices for scalable and reliable data modeling.

Develop and maintain

ER Diagrams

Data Dictionary

Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM)

Metadata Documentation

Apply advanced data modeling methodologies including:

Third Normal Form (3NF)

Star Schema

Snowflake Schema

Data Vault Modeling

Collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, Data Engineers, and Analytics teams to understand business requirements and convert them into scalable data models.

Ensure data integrity, consistency, governance, and performance optimization.

Support Data Engineering teams during implementation by providing transparent, build-ready models.

Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in Data Modeling and Database Design.

Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and Delta Lake.

Strong understanding of Medallion Architecture.

Experience working in Agile development environments.
