Must have skills : Graph Databases Good to have skills : Neo4j Minimum 5 Year(s) Of Experience Is Required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Summary: As a Data Modeler, a typical day involves engaging closely with various stakeholders including business representatives, data owners, end users, application designers, and data architects. The role focuses on understanding the existing data landscape and collaborating to design and refine data models that support both current and future business needs. This position requires continuous interaction and alignment with multiple teams to ensure that data structures are optimized and accurately represent organizational requirements, facilitating effective data management and utilization.

Roles & Responsibilities: Design and develop formal ontologies, taxonomies, and controlled vocabularies using OWL, RDFS, and SKOS.

Elicit and model domain knowledge through structured interviews and workshops with subject-matter experts.

Integrate ontologies with knowledge graph infrastructure (e.g. Neo4j, Amazon Neptune, Stardog) and validate consistency using reasoners such as HermiT or Pellet.

Write and maintain SPARQL queries and SHACL/ShEx constraints to validate data conformance.

Align internal models with industry standards and open standards such as schema.org, Dublin Core, or domain-specific vocabularies.

Establish versioning, documentation, and governance practices for ontology lifecycle management.





Support downstream AI/ML teams by providing semantically enriched data for entity resolution, recommendation, and question-answering systems.

Required qualifications

Degree in computer science, information science, linguistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Hands-on experience with OWL 2, RDF, RDFS, and SKOS Proficiency with Prot g or equivalent ontology authoring tools

Strong understanding of description logics and formal semantics

Scripting ability in Python for ontology processing and ETL tasks

Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.

Responsible for team decisions.

Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.

Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.

Lead efforts to ensure data models align with business objectives and technical standards.

Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to clarify data requirements and constraints.

Mentor junior team members to support their growth and development within the data modeling discipline.

Professional & Technical Skills: Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Graph Databases.

Good To Have Skills: Experience with Neo4j.

Robust knowledge of data modeling principles and best practices for graph-based data structures.

Ability to analyze complex data relationships and translate them into efficient, scalable models.

Experience working with data integration and transformation processes to support data consistency.

Familiarity with query languages and tools used in graph database environments.

Additional Information: The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Graph Databases.

This position is based at our Bhubaneswar office.

Education: A 15 years full time education is required.
