Data Migration Lead / Expert

This role will responsible for planning, executing, and validating the migration of data from legacy systems to modern platforms. This role ensures data integrity, quality, and consistency throughout the migration lifecycle while minimizing disruption to business operations. The expert will work closely with business stakeholders, project teams, data architects, and technical teams to deliver seamless, accurate, and secure data transitions.

Responsibilities:

- Design and implement end-to-end data migration strategies and plans.
- Conduct detailed data assessments, mapping, and transformation analysis.
- Validate migrated data to ensure completeness, accuracy, and integrity.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to define migration scope, timelines, and quality standards.
- Identify and mitigate risks, dependencies, and issues in the migration process.
- Develop scripts, automation, and documentation to streamline migration activities.
- Support data cleansing, reconciliation, and post-migration verification.




- Provide migration progress reports and communicate status to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy policies.

Required Skills & Experience

- Proven experience (over 10 years) in data migration roles
- Strong technical expertise in databases, and data integration and data migration tools.
- Experience with ETL tools for extracting data from SQL databases.
- Strong ability to write SQL scripts.
- Proficiency in performing data extraction, transformation, cleansing, validation, file uploads, and data loading to SAP.
- Experience in data migration within S4HANA or other ERP systems.
- Experience with cloud data platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or Shell scripting for data manipulation and automation.
- Knowledge of data modelling, data quality, and master data management principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
- Experience migrating data between on-premise and cloud systems.
- Experience with ERP, CRM, or enterprise data migration projects (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, Dynamics).
