Data Analyst - MDM

Job Summary:

Look all info across business and find out issues and provide solution to fix working with business owners. Proven understanding of data management master data management and data governance. Experience in data analysis and data quality management.Essential Job Duties:

- Performing data quality & business analysis in full end to end quality implementation.
- Performing Data Cleansing. Data validation.
- work across different LOBs to understand and document master data lifecycle.
- Provide support to understand where data resides in source applications/data warehouse and the specific usage / meaning of data.
- Define / describe business data elements for customer, location, Product domains.
- Responsible for defining business rules, preparing data model, defining master vs local attributes.
- Works closely with business process owners and IT, Business Intelligence.
- Profile data and lead gap analysis and investigate root cause and propose short- and long-term solutions.
- Developing SQL Queries to measure the Data quality and evaluate quality of data against defined business rules.
- Performing complex analysis of master data/ Reference datasets and conducting data validation.
- Review and Match-Merge duplicates in MDM tool.
- Collaborate with data stewards to enable the identification and resolution of data quality issues.
- Monitoring Centralized account creation, authoring data entered by data stewards.
- Prepare Reports and Dashboard using Power Bi & IBM Cognos analytics.
- Monitoring data from various sources & legacy systems to detect and prevent errors, inconsistencies, redundancies, and omission of critical data attributes on weekly basis.
- Perform regular audits to monitor quality of data.
- Serves as functional expert on data hubs.
- Document business workflows to manage master data & preparing process documents & SOPs.
- Works closely with integration team to develop and complete robust test cases for UAT testing.




- Works closely with stakeholders to develop KPI to measure data quality and end user adoption.
- Support design and implementation of data governance

Basic Qualifications (Minimum Required Experience, Education, Knowledge/Skills/Abilities, Essential Physical Demands): Education & Experience: BE, Commerce graduate/Post Graduation. 4-6 years of experience of which at least 3 years should have been in management.

Shift Timings :- UK shift/Flexible to support US business operations

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment: Must have the ability to work under conditions of frequent interruptions and be attentive to detail. Must be able to be patient with others, have the ability to listen and be able to work comfortable under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Hands on experience with data quality and business analysis including a full end to end data quality implementation
- Hands on experience in data cleansing, quality rule definition and automation
- Experience in building data quality metrics, measurement, and improvement performance indicators
- Proven understanding of data management master data management and data governance principles
- Experience in data analysis and data quality management.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work cross functionally and with geographically distributed teams
- robust relationship management and influencing skills
- Good in Advanced Excel,
- Knowledge on writing complex queries in SQL.
- Knowledge on Power BI/Cognos is added advantage.
- Experienced in any MDM tool.
