Project Role : Custom Software Engineer Project Role Description : Develop custom software solutions to design, code, and enhance components across systems or applications. Use modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs.
Must have skills : Network Infrastructures Good to have skills : NA Minimum 3 Year(s) Of Experience Is Required Educational Qualification : BTECH Summary: The Cloud Network Automation Engineer (SDE - III) is responsible for designing, implementing, and operating cloud-based network infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), while enabling secure, scalable, and governable networking across multi-cloud environments. This role places a strong emphasis on Terraform-driven network provisioning, governance-aligned operations, and the implementation of AI-assisted tooling for monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuously improving cloud network strategies. This position sits at the intersection of networking, cloud engineering, automation, security, and operations, and partners closely with Cloud Engineering, SRE, Networking, Security, and Platform teams to ensure cloud network architectures are resilient, observable, and aligned with enterprise standards across AWS, Azure, and OCI, as well as supporting CI/CD platforms.
Roles & Responsibilities: Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Network Automation Design, implement, and maintain cloud networking infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, with a primary focus on: Terraform and/or Terragrunt for multi-environment and multi-account deployments
Reusable, modular network patterns for VPCs, vNets, and VCNs, including routing and security boundaries Standardize network provisioning and configuration workflows to ensure consistency, repeatability, and auditability across environments. Partner with Cloud Engineering teams to integrate network IaC into CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows. AI-Enabled Monitoring, Troubleshooting & Strategy Leverage AI-assisted and intelligent tooling to enhance:
Network monitoring and anomaly detection
Root-cause analysis and accelerated troubleshooting
Predictive insights for capacity, performance, and risk Contribute to the design and adoption of AI-driven operational practices that improve network reliability, security posture, and mean-time-to-resolution. Collaborate with SRE and Platform teams to align AI-enabled insights with incident response, alerting, and operational runbooks.
Cloud
Governance & Operational Support Support cloud governance initiatives including: Network-related tagging and metadata enforcement
Default and orphaned resource identification and cleanup
Cross-environment and cross-account access validation Assist with operational troubleshooting, alert response, and outage triage related to cloud networking and connectivity issues. Participate in compliance and remediation activities by providing required network configuration, access validation, and cleanup support.
Networking
Expertise & Security Collaboration Provide hands-on expertise in cloud networking concepts including: CIDR classification and IP address management
Network segmentation and reachability analysis
VPN and secure access validation Work closely with Networking and Security teams on the deployment, operation, and troubleshooting of Cisco Secure Access and Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) platforms within cloud environments. Ensure network designs and implementations align with enterprise security controls and zero-trust principles. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing Document infrastructure patterns, network architectures, and operational procedures using: Jira tickets and operational runbooks
Confluence documentation
Repository-based documentation (README files, architecture diagrams, ADRs) Promote high-quality documentation that supports operational handoff, audit readiness, and self-service adoption.
Professional & Technical Skills: 6+ years of hands-on networking experience in cloud environments, with demonstrated responsibility for design, implementation, and operational support Deep experience supporting cloud networking architectures across AWS, Azure, and/or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Strong operational experience with Cisco Secure Access and Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD), including policy design, troubleshooting, and access validation Robust understanding of cloud networking constructs, routing, segmentation, and secure access patterns Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot network, connectivity, and infrastructure issues using modern diagnostic and observability tooling Experience integrating infrastructure workflows with GitHub, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines Proven experience using Infrastructure as Code, with hands-on expertise in Terraform and/or Terragrunt for managing network infrastructure at scale Experience incorporating AI-driven or intelligent tooling into monitoring, troubleshooting, or operational decision-making Experience supporting cloud governance, compliance, or remediation initiatives Broader exposure to enterprise networking concepts (DNS, routing, firewall architectures, VPN technologies) Hands-on experience with Datadog On-Call or similar alerting / incident-management platforms Experience designing or supporting workflow-based automation using tools such as n8n, including event-driven integrations, operational workflows, or cross-system orchestration Proven ability to collaborate effectively within distributed, cross-functional engineering teams Additional Information: You will be working with a Trusted Tax Technology Leader, committed to delivering reliable and innovative solutions
