Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram for a Cricket Pitch Curator / Groundsmen. The role involves preparing and maintaining indoor pitches and practice surfaces, including watering, rolling, and grooming to ensure consistent bounce and safe playing conditions. The curator will inspect nets, flooring, and equipment daily, carry out minor repairs, and coordinate with facility staff to schedule maintenance around practice sessions and matches.

Responsibilities include managing basic inventory for pitch materials and tools,



supporting match-day setup and teardown, and ensuring the practice environment meets safety and performance standards. The role may also require tracking pitch usage, keeping simple maintenance logs, and working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

- Experience in sports ground maintenance or pitch preparation, preferably in cricket or similar field-sport environments.
- Knowledge of pitch behavior, surface preparation techniques, and basic facility upkeep for indoor sports centers.
- Ability to perform hands-on physical tasks such as rolling, cleaning, minor repairs, and equipment handling.
- Basic understanding of safety practices for players and staff, with attention to detail in inspecting surfaces and equipment.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to handle multiple practice schedules and maintenance tasks.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with coaches, players, and facility management.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and tournament days.
- Prior experience in indoor sports facilities or cricket academies is an advantage; formal training in sports turf or facility management is a plus.
