We are looking for an experienced Senior Cost Control Engineer with a robust Mechanical/HVAC background to manage and control project costs for large-scale USA-based construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for budget tracking, cost analysis, forecasting, and financial reporting while ensuring cost efficiency across HVAC project scopes.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and track project budgets and actual costs across HVAC projects.
Control costs related to non-fixed purchase order (PO) items.
Analyze cost variances and identify financial risks and overruns.
Prepare weekly and monthly cost reports for project stakeholders.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Procurement, and Estimation teams.
Validate invoices, subcontractor bills, and purchase orders against approved budgets.
Support forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow planning.
Maintain cost control dashboards, reports, and documentation.
Implement cost control procedures and industry best practices.
Assist in cost benchmarking and procurement planning.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of experience in Cost Control or Project Cost Management.
Experience in HVAC or MEP construction projects is mandatory.
Strong knowledge of project budgeting, forecasting, and cost reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cost reporting tools.
Ability to interpret BOQs, project drawings, and technical specifications.
Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills.
Preferred Candidate
Experience working on international construction projects.
Strong understanding of procurement processes and subcontractor cost management.
