Role

We are looking for an experienced Cost Controller to establish and drive cost management, financial controls, and profitability analysis for a fast-growing merchandise startup. The ideal candidate will partner with procurement, operations, and finance teams to optimize costs, improve margins, and support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement robust cost control processes and internal financial controls.
2. Monitor product costing, inventory valuation, and gross margins.
3. Analyze manufacturing, sourcing, logistics, and operational costs to identify savings opportunities.
4. Prepare cost reports, variance analysis, budgets, and forecasts.
5. Ensure accurate inventory accounting and reconciliation.
6. Support pricing decisions through profitability and cost analysis.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency.
8. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, and audit processes.

Requirements
1. Chartered Accountant (CA) with 8–10 years of relevant experience in cost control, FP&A;, or commercial finance.
2. Experience in merchandise, retail, consumer products, manufacturing, or e-commerce is preferred.

Strong analytical, financial modeling, and ERP skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup workplace with a hands-on approach.
