Job Purpose The Cost Control Engineer is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and controlling projects costs throughout the projects lifecycle to ensure road and infrastructure projects are delivered within the approved budget. The role involves cost reporting, forecasting, budget tracking, productivity analysis, and supporting project management with timely financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and maintain project budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts.
- Monitor project expenditures and compare actual costs against budgeted costs.
- Track commitments, variations, and subcontractor costs
- Prepare weekly and monthly cost reports highlighting cost performance and potential risks.
- Conduct cost variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Planning, Procurement, Commercial, and Project teams to ensure accurate cost tracking.
- Monitor labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor productivity and costs.
- Review and verify subcontractor and supplier invoices against approved budgets and progress.




- Support the preparation of interim payment applications, change orders, and claims.
- Maintain cost control systems and ensure all project cost data is up to date.
- Assist management in project financial reviews and forecasting of final project costs.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and contractual requirements.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cost control, preferably within road, infrastructure, and utility projects in the UAE.
- Solid understanding of project budgeting, cost reporting, and financial analysis.
- Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and construction commercial practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
- Knowledge of Primavera P6 is an advantage.
