Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Cook to join a reputed Manufacturing Unit in Jalpaiguri. The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing fresh vegetarian meals for senior factory staff while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare fresh and nutritious vegetarian breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner for senior factory staff.
- Plan daily menus based on dietary requirements and availability of ingredients.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Monitor kitchen inventory and ensure timely procurement and replenishment of food items and kitchen supplies.
- Store raw materials and cooked food properly to maintain freshness and quality.
- Minimize food wastage and ensure productive utilization of resources.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely.
- Ensure the kitchen and dining area remain clean and organized at all times.
- Follow company policies related to health, safety, and sanitation.

Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum qualification: Class VIII/Secondary Pass (preferred).




- Formal training in cooking or hospitality will be an added advantage.

Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cook in a factory, company guest house, hostel, canteen, hotel, restaurant, or institutional kitchen.
- Freshers with excellent cooking skills may also apply.

Required Skills
- Good knowledge of vegetarian cooking.
- Understanding of food hygiene and kitchen sanitation.
- Ability to prepare meals for multiple people efficiently.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Honest, disciplined, and responsible attitude.
- Ability to work independently.

Preferred Candidate
- Experience in factory or industrial canteens.
- Physically fit and capable of standing for long hours.
- Willing to work in Jalpaiguri.
