About the role

Aavaranaa is looking for a creative and community-minded Social Media Associate to own our presence across social channels. This is a hands-on role that spans the full content lifecycle—from planning and production to posting and community engagement. You will be the eyes, ears, and voice of our brand online, ensuring that everything we put out is thoughtfully crafted, on-brand, and genuinely connects with our audience.

Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day content posting across all social platforms

- Lead end-to-end photo and video production, from concept to final asset

- Edit content with careful attention to pacing, colour, sound, captioning, and format

- Capture both planned and spontaneous, in-the-moment content

- Handle all shoot logistics including equipment, scheduling, and coordination

- Drive meaningful community engagement

- Respond promptly and thoughtfully to comments and direct messages

- Identify and engage with relevant accounts to grow our presence authentically

- Monitor, curate, and share customer-generated content





- Collaborate closely with the design team to ensure all visual content adheres to brand guidelines

- Stay up-to-date with platform trends, formats, and algorithm changes without sacrificing the brand’s distinct voice

What we're looking for

- Proven experience managing social media for a brand, ideally in fashion or lifestyle

- Hands-on production skills: comfortable shooting and confident in the edit
- A solid eye for storytelling, composition and aesthetics

- Proficiency in video editing tools such as InShot, CapCut, Final Cut Pro or similar
- A thoughtful communicator who engages online with warmth, authenticity, and brand awareness

- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple shoots, deadlines, and platforms simultaneously
- A genuine enthusiasm for textiles, craft, and an understanding of the premium market

Nice to have

- Basic understanding of social media analytics and reporting

- Familiarity with scheduling and social management tools
