Role Description The Composite Engineer will work on the design, analysis, fabrication, and testing of composite structures and components used in marine and defence applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing laminate designs, selecting materials, preparing manufacturing drawings, and supporting prototyping and production activities.

The role involves close collaboration with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure structural performance, durability, and compliance with relevant standards.

The Composite

Engineer will participate in failure analysis, process optimization, and documentation of composite processes and procedures. This is a full time,



on-site role based in Hyderabad.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of composite materials, laminate theory, and structural analysis methods for marine or aerospace applications.
- Experience with CAD tools and engineering software for modeling composite components and preparing technical drawings.
- Hands-on understanding of composite manufacturing processes (e.g., hand lay-up, vacuum bagging, resin infusion, prepreg, curing) and related tooling.
- Familiarity with relevant standards, testing methods, and quality control practices for composite structures.
- Ability to interpret engineering specifications, perform basic calculations, and prepare clear technical documentation and reports.
- Good collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams on-site.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Naval Architecture, Materials Engineering, or a related discipline; postgraduate specialization in composites is an advantage.
- Experience in marine, defence, or high-performance structural applications is preferred; exposure to indigenous development programs is a plus.
- Willingness to work in a lab and workshop environment, support trials and testing, and adhere to safety and confidentiality requirements.
